Vilantae

Posted on 05 August 2009

Background
When our Acne in Review team came across the Vilantae website, we were quite impressed with the amount of information it contained.

We discovered that Vilantae works along the same lines as Accutane; it stops excess skin oil from being released onto the skin’s surface. This makes Vilantae a more effective acne treatment than most topical products (which tend to address skin oil after they have already been produced).

Vitantae is said to be the most effective all natural acne treatment, but without the serious side effects of Accutane. And, although word is just starting to reach North America about the benefits of this powerful product, it’s very well known in Asia where more studies and research have been conducted.

Vitantae is available in a pill or powder form and promises to…

• Stops excess skin oil from being released
• Prevents adult and teenage acne
• Prevents back, chest, and shoulder acne
• Reduces pore size
• 100% all natural and is made with the highest quality ingredients

Ingredients
The Vilantae system contains three products to help you clear up your acne: capsules or powder, Glycolic gel, and Benzoyl Peroxide.

The main ingredient in the capsules/powder is d-Calcium pantothenate. D-Calcium pantothenate is a source of Coenzyme A, which is directly connected to the body’s ability to break down the oils we eat.

Vilantae does not dry out the skin by shutting down the pores completely, but rather works to prevent excess skin oil from being released. It works by giving users the Coenzyme A they need to eliminate the production of excess oil.

The topical Glycolic gel contains glycolic acid to penetrate deep into pores to remove plugs of sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria. And, Benzoyl Peroxide is designed to penetrate deep into pores to eliminate inflammation and destroy bacteria.

Website
When our Acne in Review Treatment team visited, we found a comprehensive site that contains multiple pages explaining the Vilantae system, as well as the science behind acne.

We especially enjoyed the large FAQ section. It was very informative and answers just bout any question you could have.

At first glance the website may seem a bit overwhelming, but it was easy to navigate and had a lot of tools and resources to help answer any questions acne sufferers may have.

Our Acne in Review team especially liked the videos and cartoons. We felt that they helped explain the products and gave a comprehensive background on acne in a fun and interesting way.

Lifestyle
Since this natural acne product compares itself to Accutane without the side effects, our Acne in Review Treatment team could not help but take notice.

The website, geared to teenagers and twenty-something’s is cool, young and vibrant. The language, videos and testimonials connect nicely with younger acne sufferers. However, parents are not forgotten. This website comes with a specifically designed parents section.

Vilantae does not use flashy celebrity endorsements to back up their claims. Instead they use a much more practical approach: tons of research and articles from medical journals and other internet sites Our Acne in Review Treatment team found this much more believable than celebrity endorsements. A refreshing change!

Pros
Vilantae claims to be second only to Accutane – but without the harsh side effects. Vilantae is 100% all natural making it safer than Accutane and the capsules are manufactured by a GMP certified laboratory, offering the highest quality.

The appeal to Vilantae is that it prevents excess oil from being released, rather than blocking or shutting down the production of oils completely.

And, although Vilantae takes up to a month to get into your system, the company still provides a full 90-day money back guarantee, so users can put the product to the test – risk free.

Cons
Vilantae capsules are priced at $38.50 for 400 capsules (which is about a one month’s supply). The powder is a little less expensive at $35.50 for a month’s supply. But, at this time there is no discount or special pricing for people who purchase more than one month’s supply.

This product lists a few side effects, including: diarrhoea, mild stomach irritation, and possible headaches during the first 2 weeks. It is also mentions that pregnant or breast feeding women should not take Vilantae.

Another negative could be the Benzoyl Peroxide. It’s been known to dry out most types of skin and in some cases cause excessive dryness and flaking. Plus, glycolic acid may leave the user’s skin especially sensitive to the sun, so an additional sunscreen is needed.

Tricks
Shipping is $4.95 and delivers within 2-3 days. They will also email you with a tracking number when your package is shipped. Compared to other acne websites, our Acne in Review team felt that this was a low price and a great shipping service.

I used Vilantae and it’s a product that cures the acne problem from the source. Thanks for writing such a detailed review on this product……..I believe it will really help others who haven’t heard about it yet.

I LOVE this product, it’s awesome. Earlier I have wasted a lot of money on other skin care products that gave lame results. It works much better than Tetrecyclene and Accutane.
