Clearogen

Background
Acne in Review examines Clearogen! Clearogen is a radical new treatment for acne formulated by board certified Dermatologist Alex Khadavi MD.

Clearogen combines scientifically proven natural ingredients with an FDA approved 3-step treatment to control and treat acne. It works by attacking the root cause and the symptoms of acne.

Clearogen’s website states that its acne treatment attacks DHT, the hormonal by-product that initiates the formation of acne. DHT fuels the skin’s oil glands to overproduce resulting in obstruction, infection, and inflammation of pores, causing acne.

Specifically, Clearogen promises to do the following…

• Control and treat the root causes of acne
• Clear existing skin and prevent and treat acne breakouts
• Restore your skin’s natural beauty

Ingredients
Clearogen’s system consists of a 3-step process: Foaming Cleanser, Clarifying Toner, and Acne Lotion.

Clearogen’s Anti-DHT Ingredients include, Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA), Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA), Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid, Saw Palmetto Extract, Beta-Sitosterol, Green Tea Catechins, Dodecyl Gallate, and Octyl Gallate.

Its Foaming Cleanser consists of: 2% salicylic acid, wheat protein, wheat starch, aloe vera gel, rosemary extract, and Polysorbate 20. It also contains botanical extracts to revitalize the skin while preventing breakouts.

The Clarifying Toner combines alcohol and 1% salicylic acid with botanical extracts to create silkier, smoother skin. The toner eliminates pore clogging impurities allowing balanced oil production. It decreases pore size, as well as reduces redness, and irritation.

The Acne Lotion uses the combination of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and linolenic acid with healing ingredients: green tea, soy, chamomile, and aloe vera gel.

Clearogen lotion clears existing acne and helps prevent future breakouts, leaving skin softer and smoother.

Website
Our Acne in Review team was impressed by the look of Clearogen’s website. There is a blue water background and the font is blue on a white background. This combination makes for a crisp and clean looking website.

The website is very comprehensive, containing a lot of tabs and sections. This makes finding the information you’re looking for quick and easy. Plus, they provide a site map for people who need extra navigational help.

With a ton of information on teenage and adult acne, our Acne in Review Treatment team couldn’t help but be impressed. Plus, visitors will also find a resource page linking them to even more acne information.

And, if that isn’t enough, Clearogen provides an ‘ask the expert’ and an acne article section which contains answers to a lot of common acne questions, plus a research section that shows case studies on the ingredients that are contained in Clearogen’s products.

In short, our Acne in Review Treatment team thought there was very little (if anything) missing from this website!

Lifestyle
The website contains before and after pictures, testimonials, FAQ’s, and a “news” section that shows where Clearogen has been featured by the media.

Clearogen has been featured on the “Tyra Banks Show”, in “Allure”, “Cosmo”, and “Health and Fitness” magazines, “Medical News Today” and “Medi Lexicon” websites. It has gotten a lot of buzz!

Furthermore, Clearogen is set apart from other acne medications because it’s been formulated by a board certified dermatologist MD. Our Acne in Review team felt that a dermatologist formulated acne treatment gave the product a lot more credibility – feeling comfortable that the product was formulated by an expert in the acne arena.

Pros
Clearogen offers a 60 day money back guarantee. If the 3-step program doesn’t work, buyers can return the bottles for a full refund (minus the shipping and handling). This offer even applies to empty bottles. The guarantee is valid for one purchase per household and must have been purchased through the Clearogen website.

Cons
The prices for the Clearogen system seem pretty typical for such a top quality acne treatment. Buyers can purchase a complete acne treatment set (a two month supply) for $69.

And, although bulk purchase offer some savings, our Acne in Review Treatment team didn’t think that the saving were as much as they could be.

Tricks
They now offer free ground shipping on all US offers! However, if you are ordering from Canada or internationally the shipping gets expensive. Prices range from $15-$25.
