Doctors have said over and over again that there is no direct connection between diet and acne. Studies have also revealed that diet and acne are not connected directly; however including some foods in the diet plan can support the acne treatment system.

Coffee has been identified as one of the factors that can worsen skin acne conditions. The caffeine present in coffee increases the production of stress hormones resulting in acne breakouts.

A common myth related to acne is that eating chocolates cause acne. It is untrue because acne is caused due to other factors like hormones, hereditary, cosmetics, and environment. Chocolate or other food items do not cause acne.
