There are no serious health problems associated with acne, but it leads to stress and disgust. Some people therefore don’t feel comfortable opting for the chemical peels or acne medications that contain harsh chemicals. For them, the best acne treatments are the natural remedies.

Antibacterial essential oils for acne treatment

Acne treatment using aromatherapy can be done using several types of essential oils. Some of the common types of essential oils used for this purpose are Cypress oil, Tea tree oil, Lavender oil, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, and Jojoba oil. A mix of these essential oils can be directly applied to the acne affected area. Experts usually recommend using a blend of these essential oils in the aromatherapy acne treatment procedure.

Take 1/2 ounce of Jojoba oil and put it into a clean jar. After that add the other essential oils to it in the following proportion:

  • Helichrysum oil (2 drops)
  • Cypress oil (3 drops)
  • Tea tree oil (4 drops)
  • Lavender oil (8 drops)

Blend this solution well and apply the mix to the affected area with the use of cotton pads. This treatment should be followed daily for several times.

Preparing a face mask using aromatherapy

You can prepare a homemade face mask using Helichrysum oil, Honey, Rosemary oil, and Clay. Mix one teaspoon of each of these ingredients and mix them well. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and apply the mask using your hands. Now, leave it to dry for ten minutes, and then wash it off. This significantly helps in preventing acne and soothing the skin.

Eating healthy is also very important. Eat healthy food and drink more water to flush the toxins out of your body. A combination of aromatherapy and healthy eating habits can go a long way in keeping your skin free of acne, spots, or pimples.

    Nice article.

@ P.Patel: You can preserve it for a few days. Keep it in a sterilized bottle and close the lid tight, and store it in your freezer. But its better to blend it fresh.
