Acjuva

Background
Our Acne in Review Treatment team was intrigued by the Acjuva promise to “Annihilate Your Acne in 14 Days…Or It’s FREE!” Once we stopped by the site, we knew we couldn’t pass by this amazing product.

Using a 3 step program of all-natural, clinically proven ingredients, Acjuva promises to safely eliminate acne. Its powerful blend of herbs and extracts won’t dry or peel your skin. The gentle healing qualities of Acjuva will have you glowing.

Specifically, Acjuva can be counted on to…

• Heal Current Acne
• Prevent Future Breakouts
• Satisfy 99% of Customers
• Guarantee Results or Your Money Back

Ingredients
The 3 steps in the Acjuva system are an Acne Cleanser, Renewing Toner and Repairing Lotion.

The Acne Cleanser is a natural glycerin soap that relies on tea tree oil to fight blemishes. Tea Tree Oil is a natural alternative to benzoyl peroxide. It contains terpinen-4-ol that is thought to kill the bacteria P. Acnes. An Australian study showed that Tea Tree Oil can significantly reduce acne without many of the side effects associated with chemical ingredients.

Both the Renewing Toner and Repairing Lotion are water based formulas that rely on an herbal extract. The herbs include white willow which contains salicylic acid. This is the acid that is renowned to unclog pores and keep your face looking fresh.

Website
The Acjuva website is straight to the point. No fancy graphics or interactive quizzes here. Just a rundown of the ingredients, some testimonials, FAQs and an order form. Still, our Acne in Review Treatment team felt the site had a professional – if basic – feel

Lifestyle
Again, there are no videos or photos on the site. And there is no resource center to explore what causes acne and how eliminating it can change your life.

In addition, there are no celebrity endorsements. But Acjuva has stated that they bypass the endorsements to avoid having to increase their product price. Those celebrity endorsements can get pricey!

Acjuva has posted some email testimonials but they are all anonymous. Our Acne in Review Treatment staff would recommend adding names as well as before and after photos.

Pros
Acjuva is a great choice for those with sensitive skin. The all-natural ingredients will probably be kinder to your skin than some of the other options on that market.

The 120 day money back guarantee is also a great offer by Acjuva. If you are unsatisfied, you can return the empty bottles for a full refund. No “restocking” fee!

Finally, what you see is what you get with Acjuva. Unlike some products, there is no stealth sign-up for an auto-ship program. You won’t be automatically enrolled in a club or plan for future shipments so no worries about future charges on your credit card bill.

Cons
While we appreciated that Acjuva wasn’t going to sign us up for an auto-ship program, we did miss the free trial that often goes along with those offers. Acne Treatment always prefers that its readers get a chance to try before they buy.

Our Acne in Review Treatment staffer also felt that shipping was a little steep. The price is based upon location, and a one month kit cost $10.10 to ship in our case.

Finally, we felt that Acjuva could do a better job of offering customer service options. The only contact information that is prominently displayed on the site is an email address. On the order form, in small print, is address from which the order is shipped. But there is not a phone number to be found.

Tricks
A one month kit runs $39.95. Each kit will last about 4 months. For a better value, buy 2 kits for $74.95. The best deal is 3 kits for $109.95 plus you get a FREE Microdermabrasion cloth!
